At the 21st Guangzhou Auto Show in 2023, The Durant Guild presented five carefully curated models: the Cadillac CELESTIQ, an ultra-luxury all-electric flagship sedan; the Chevrolet CORVETTE Stingray 70th Anniversary Edition; the all-electric GMC HUMMER EV Pickup; the Chevrolet TAHOE full-size SUV; and the GMC YUKON full-size luxury SUV. Each model represents the pinnacle of its respective category, combining innovation and excellence.

CELESTIQ: The Heights of All-Electric Ultra-Luxury

The Cadillac CELESTIQ made its Asia debut at Guangzhou.

As Cadillac's crowning achievement, the CELESTIQ is a groundbreaking ultra-luxury all-electric flagship sedan. It represents over 120 years of the brand's rich heritage and is handcrafted on General Motors' Ultium electric vehicle platform. It's the purest expression of Cadillac's commitment to design, technology, luxury, and driving experience. The iconic Cadillac Goddess emblem makes a triumphant return on the CELESTIQ after more than 60 years, symbolizing Cadillac's unique elegance and modern charm, and reasserting the brand as the Standard of the World in the electric era.

CELESTIQ buyers will be given direct access to a special Cadillac team and designers to bring their unique automotive vision to life. Each CELESTIQ is a bespoke masterpiece meticulously crafted by a dedicated team to meet the needs of each individual customer, offering unrivaled exclusivity and personality. Additionally, the production model will feature 114 3D-printed parts, showcasing advanced manufacturing techniques in bespoke luxury.

To create the ultimate sensory experience, the CELESTIQ artfully integrates cutting-edge technology within its cabin. A 55-inch curved display spans the cockpit, with the driver's side offering pixel density comparable to an 8K screen. The fixed smart glass panoramic roof uses particle suspension technology to achieve adjustable translucency in four zones. The CELESTIQ is also the first vehicle to feature Gentherm ClimateSense™, a four-zone intelligent temperature control system, offering personalized comfort through advanced airflow technology, neck scar, heated armrests, and heated, ventilated seats.

CORVETTE Stingray: 70 Legendary Years

Since its inception in 1953, the CORVETTE has been revered as the iconic American sports car for its ultimate performance, cutting-edge technology, and refined style. The 2023 CORVETTE Stingray 70th Anniversary Edition honors this legacy with unique colorways and design elements that narrate the model's storied past.

The 70th Anniversary Edition features exclusive pearl white and carbon black exterior colors, red-striped wheels, and red brake calipers. The interior boasts two-tone Ceramic leather GT2 seats with red stitching throughout, red seatbelts, and special 70th Anniversary logos on the steering wheel, hubcaps, door panels, seat headrests, rear windshield, and speakers.

The retractable hardtop can be deployed at speeds up to 48 km/h in just 16 seconds, a record for the CORVETTE. Inspired by modern fighter jets and Formula 1 cars, its streamlined design and wraparound cockpit create an aviation-like ambiance.

Equipped with a mid-mounted 6.2L LT2 V8 engine, the CORVETTE Stingray offers balanced weight and responsive handling. Paired with Chevrolet's eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, it is capable of delivering up to 495 horsepower and 637 Nm of torque. With the Z51 Performance Package, it can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 3 seconds. The optional fourth-generation MRC electromagnetic suspension adapts in milliseconds, making it ideal for both highways and racetracks.

HUMMER EV: Zero-Limit Strength and Style

The HUMMER, a classic symbol of hard core American off-road performance, is reborn in the new era of electric vehicles. The GMC HUMMER EV, built on General Motors' ULTIUM platform, is a pioneering electric pickup designed for the ambitious.

The GMC HUMMER EV Pickup showcases outstanding on- and off-road capabilities. Its ULTIUM electric drive system provides up to 746 kW (1000 hp) of peak power and 15592 Nm (11,500 lb.-ft) of maximum wheel torque. The Watts-to-Freedom Mode delivers supercar-like 0-60 mph acceleration in about 3 seconds. Its 800V high-voltage DC fast-charging ULTIUM battery offers over 560 km (350 miles) of all-electric range, enhanced with Regen on Demand energy recovery paddles that convert kinetic energy into electric energy, further extending range.

The GMC HUMMER EV's CrabWalk™ mode allows all four wheels to turn up to 10 degrees to the left or right, enabling diagonal movement at low speeds and granting unmatched maneuverability in narrow terrain. The unique EXTRACT MODE raises the adaptive air suspension by about 15 cm to effortlessly overcome obstacles like streams and boulders. Furthermore, UltraVision provides up to 18 available camera views to help maneuver in almost any situation.

The enhanced Super Cruise™ advanced driver assistance system offers features including Automatic Lane Change on highways, confidently handling urban roads with over 80 million miles of safe global transport tested.

The industry-leading Infinity Roof is a modular sunroof that expresses the true meaning of zero limits — from outdoors to the city, it fulfills all drivers’ mobility needs.

TAHOE: Embracing Storied SUV Heritage

In 1935, Chevrolet started the SUV category with the introduction of the SUBURBAN CARRYALL, combining the off-road and cargo capabilities of a truck with the comfort of a sedan. The Chevrolet TAHOE and SUBURBAN share this long-running DNA, showcased in the exhibition model at Guangzhou – the 2023 full-size Chevrolet TAHOE Z71.

Named after Lake Tahoe, North America's largest mountain lake and a gem of the 19th-century American westward expansion, the TAHOE embodies the robust power, spacious comfort, versatile strength, and solid craftsmanship expected of a full-size SUV. Since becoming an independent model from the SUBURBAN in 1995, the TAHOE has evolved into its fifth generation and consistently leads North American full-size SUV sales. The TAHOE offers a 7-seat 2-2-3 layout with ample second and third-row space, expanding to a maximum cargo space of 3480 liters with these rows folded down.

Chevy’s signature Z71 package is well-respected in off-road communities and elevates the TAHOE's performance. Its robust hardware includes Rancho brand shocks, 20-inch Goodyear all-terrain tires, and a hill descent control system. The Z71 model also features Four Corner Air Ride Adaptive Suspension, optimizing ride height and comfort by adjusting the suspension to road conditions.

The TAHOE's leading performance has made it a standard for U.S. state official and police vehicles, and it's one of the most featured vehicles in Hollywood films. Whether racing through the wilderness or speeding through the city, the TAHOE's iconic image is deeply ingrained in the public consciousness.

YUKON: Taking the Full-Size SUV to New Heights

Since its founding in 1902, GMC has been the only North American brand specializing in the manufacture of high-end trucks and SUVs. Debuted in 1997, the GMC YUKON DENALI ULTIMATE takes its namesake from North America's highest peak in the Yukon Plateau — Denali. It is the elite flagship model of the YUKON family, breaking the stereotype of SUVs as purely practical and the very first full-size, luxury SUV, with global sales exceeding one million.

The YUKON DENALI ULTIMATE lives up to its name with top-of-the-line features, representing the pinnacle of the family. With a generous radiator grille, GMC’s signature C-shaped headlights and the ultra-large 22-inch wheels, the vehicle makes an extraordinary visual impact. Exclusive chromed finish is featured on the front bumper, the door sills and windows, highlighting dignity and luxury.

The YUKON DENALI ULTIMATE takes the luxury of the model range to new heights with specs and design features that can’t be beat. Top-of-the-line leather seats and an 18-speaker Bose audio system including a driver headrest speaker offer deep immersion, while dual 12.6-inch rear touchscreens create a theater-like experience. The interior wood trim is laser-engraved with exclusive DENALI topographic patterns, guiding drivers to new heights.

The YUKON DENALI ULTIMATE comes standard with the GMC Pro Safety Plus intelligent safety assistance system, ensuring the safety of passengers and the vehicle through multiple active and passive safety features. Equipped with up to 13 HD cameras, it provides a 360° view around the vehicle. The enhanced Super Cruise meanwhile brings advanced driver assistance features like Lane Change on Demand and auto towing capabilities, helping drivers confidently navigate different road conditions.
